# Can I set pre-payments as mandatory?

Yes, you can make it mandatory for your clients to pre-pay at the time of booking appointments.

We offer integration with multiple payment gateways to accept online payments. In order to receive payments through Appointy, you need to first _integrate your account with a supported payment gateway__._

After you have integrated a payment gateway with your Appointy account, go to the ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Payment Rules’. Here, you can enable the 'Accept pre-payments’ toggle which allows you to charge the full-service amount, a fixed booking fee or a percentage of the service cost.
