Making a staff member ‘Public’ or ‘Private’
You might not want all your staff members to be available to be booked by your clients. In order to prevent all or a few staff members to be booked by your clients, you can turn a public staff member into an internal or private staff. This means that only an admin, manager or the staff member himself can add an appointment in his calendar and he won’t be available to be booked by the clients in the client’s booking interface.
Here’s how you turn a ‘Public’ staff member into a ‘Private’ or ‘Internal Staff’:
Quick Nav — (Settings → Staff → Click on the staff name → Under ‘Details’ tab, turn on the toggle button next to ‘Internal Staff’ to turn the staff member’s ‘Public’ status into ‘Private’)
Log into the Appointy admin panel.
Click on the ‘Settings’ icon in the toolbar appearing on the left.
Go to the ‘Staff’ tab under the ‘Resource Management’ section.
Click on the staff name that you want to turn into a ‘Private’ staff.
Under the ‘Details’ tab, turn on the toggle button next to ‘Internal Staff’.
In order to turn a ‘Private’ staff member into ‘Public’, follow the same steps mentioned-above and turn off the toggle button next to ‘Internal Staff’.
